Chemical Facial Peel

Scar Removal

Scar revision or scar removal can be accomplished through surgical methods and minimally invasive treatments. Dr. Harper will choose the appropriate scar removal technique depending on the depth, shape, and size of the scar(s). For mild to moderate superficial scarring, Dr. Harper may apply a chemical peel to smooth and exfoliate the skin or perform laser skin resurfacing to ablate the scar tissue. These methods are commonly used to treat acne scarring, moderate surgical scars, or scars left over from an injury. For deep scar removal, Dr. Harper may utilize the CO2 laser for resurfacing of the area or perform a surgical procedure called z-plasty, during which he removes scar tissue and reconnects the healthy skin. Laser Skin Resurfacing

During a laser skin resurfacing treatment, also called a "laser peel," Dr. Harper uses a carbon dioxide (CO2) laser to remove areas of damaged or wrinkled skin, layer by layer. The procedure is most commonly used to minimize the appearance of fine lines, especially around the mouth and the eyes. However, it is also effective for treating facial scars or areas with blotchy, uneven pigmentation. Laser resurfacing may be performed along the entire surface of the face or for skin rejuvenation in specific regions. Facial Spider Vein Removal – Diathermy

Through an advanced technique called diathermy, Dr. Harper can eliminate the appearance of facial spider veins.
