Facial Cosmetic Surgery – Looking good with surgery

When there is excessive droop of skin and underlying fat from the forehead above to the lower neck, then corrective surgery is required. “Looking good” can now be only obtained by lifting. From above downwards corrective surgery is:

Forehead Lift

Generalised sagging and drooping of the eyebrows combined with loose and severe wrinkling across the forehead and deep glabella frown lines. The endoscopic browlift is the ideal procedure. Dramatic long lasting results are obtained.

See Dr Harper in consultation as to the appropriate surgery for you, then referral to another specialist plastic surgeon. Click here for a full discussion.

Lateral Browlift

A very common problem is sagging of the lateral eyebrow from squinting. Brow is replaced to its normal position on the orbital ridge with dramatic results. Click here for a full discussion.

Eyelid Surgery - Blepharoplasty

Upper Eyelids

Excessive skin in the upper eyelids resting on the eyelashes, and even obstructing vision. Uncomplicated minor procedure for correction. Click here for a full discussion.

Total Blepharoplasty

Upper and lower eyelids, a combined procedure, removing excessive skin and fatty bags from all eyelids, general anaesthetic. Click here for a full discussion.

Mid Facelift

This is on isolated sagging of facial skin and fat in the cheeks and lower eyelids, with heavy naso-labial folds, while the chin, jawline and neck remain youthful. See Dr Harper for a consultation as to whether this is appropriate surgery for you, then referral on to a specialist plastic surgeon. Click here for a full discussion.

Short Scar Facelift - MAC's

A minimal procedure, with a minimal scar appropriate for the younger person (35 to 55) with significant ageing signs (droop of skin and fat) in the neck, jawline, jowls, midface and brows. Less invasive and a short scar only in front of ear. Click here for a full discussion. Click here for a full discussion.

Face and Neck Lift

Maximum droop of skin and subcutaneous tissues from the top of forehead to lower neck in the over 55 year old group requires a significant lift as in the Face/Neck Lift. A major procedure, general anaesthetic for maximum correction. Click here for a full discussion.

It is very important to combine the above surgery with techniques as discussed under Skin Rejuvenation Therapy – Looking Good Without Surgery so as to gain the optimum results before and after surgery.

Neck Lift

This surgery is considered when there is an isolated neck problem such as transverse and vertical neck folds and wrinkles, excessive fat collecting under the chin. There must be no drooping of soft tissues across the jawline and no jowls, otherwise a MAC’s simple procedure should be considered.
